Are the Bliss 5,000 and Silver 6,500 the same mattress?

No. Although these mattresses share several important Harrison Spinks characteristics, their internal spring arrangements and natural filling blends aren't identical.

Both are turn-free mattresses built around Harrison Spinks' Cortec™ Quad Revolution® spring technology. They also offer Gentle, Medium and Firm support options and use two rows of side stitching.

How do their spring systems differ?

The Bliss combines its main Cortec™ spring system with a layer of HD 2,000 micro springs. The Silver retains the HD 2,000 layer while adding HD 2,500 micro springs and Posturfil pocket springs.

This explains why the Silver has a higher headline spring count. It shouldn't simply be interpreted as 1,500 additional conventional mattress springs; the two models use different combinations of supplementary springs within their comfort layers.

What about the natural fillings?

The Bliss uses blended British wool and viscose, natural cotton, British wool and Sustainable Ecotex. The Silver also uses wool and viscose and Sustainable Ecotex, while introducing wool, hemp and flax and cotton, hemp and flax blends.

Both therefore make extensive use of breathable natural materials, but the Silver has a broader mixture of natural fibres.

I liked the Bliss 5,000 – should I try the Silver 6,500?

Yes, the Silver 6,500 is a sensible model to include in your comparison.

It shares the Bliss mattress's turn-free construction, core Cortec™ spring technology, tension choices and two-row side stitching while adding further supplementary springs and a different natural-upholstery recipe.

The Harrison Spinks Silver 6,500 is displayed at Mayfield Furniture in Somercotes. If you've already tried the Bliss, tell us which tension you tested and what you liked about it so we can help you make a meaningful comfort comparison.

About our mattress comparisons

Mattress manufacturers can produce different models and specifications for different retailers and retail groups. Similar-looking mattresses may therefore have different model names, spring counts, fillings or construction. Our comparison guides do not claim that differently named mattresses are identical. They are designed to explain published specification differences and help you identify models that may be worth trying.
