We will not sell, distribute or disclose information about you to others without your consent or unless required or permitted to do so by law.

This Website may contains links to other web sites, which may not be governed by this privacy policy.

When using the Delivery Checker, the entered postcode is checked against existing records within our database, Data may be stored for location statistics but would never be uses to make contact unless you physically placed an order.

Cookies

A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes a unique identifier that is sent to your computer or mobile phone (referred to here as a "device") browser from a website's computer and is stored on your device's hard drive. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites. Many sites do this whenever a user visits their website in order to track online traffic flows.

Cookies record information about your online preferences and allow us to tailor the websites to your interests.

Users have the opportunity to set their devices to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time. The last of these means that certain personalised services cannot then be provided to that user and accordingly you may not be able to take full advantage of all our websites features. Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.

Our website uses Google Analytics to help analyse how users use the site. This analytical tool uses cookies to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate visitor's use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity.

Mayfield Furniture will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source as part of our use of the Google statistical analytics tool. We will not link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user.

The next time you visit our website (using the same computer) our server will recognise the cookie and provide us with information about your last visit.

COOKIE is not set

If you do not want a Cookie to be stored on your hard drive you should select the appropriate options on your web-browser. Please refer to your web-browser provider or system user guide for detailed information on disabling cookies.

If you'd like to know more about cookies and how to delete or control them, visit www.AboutCookies.org.

Sessions

A session starts the second you visit our site, and ends the seconds you discontinue the current connection with our site.
(Example - Closing your web browser.)

Using sessions is a easier way of temporarily storing information where physical storage (Example - Cookie) isnt required.

Our shopping basket system uses sessions together with our database to store details of products you wish to order, when product details are stored in our database, each product is assigned your current session id which links the product to your current session. We moved away from a cookie driven shopping basket as users who decline to accept cookies on their computers would be unable to use our site to its full potential.

When using our Delivery Checker your postal code is checked against our database to determine if delivery is available.
Your postal code is scored 1, 2 or 3 based on the results back from our database.
These two values (Your postal code and its score) are stored in the session.

Each product page you visit, your postal code will be read from the session displayed along with a set value of text depending on the number 1, 2 or 3.

Due to the nature of sessions, you will be prompted to enter your postal code each time you visit our site as no information within a session is physically stored.

What each number means

1 - Means your postcode was within our Home Delivery area.
2 - Means your postcode was within our Premier Home Delivery area.
3 - Means your postcode was not within our delivery area.
